Medium : Oil , Gold & Pewter Plated Tile, Concrete Thin-set, and Construction Compound on Wood Panel

Wildfires, floods, mudslides, tornados and hurricanes of recent years are uncommonly getting more frequent and more intense causing hardship for thousands of people. This work conceptually represents the upheaval resulting from these extreme events.

I utilized a concrete relief technique that I built up randomly approximately 2 inches from the surface of the panel. The symmetrical tile that appears to have been forced into various angles represents humanity in disarray - thus upheaval.
